My Early Experience of an Indian Doctor:

Almost 45 years ago, my dad brought home an elderly Siddha Doctor - a Traditional Practitioner - from Madurai, some 100 km away from my village, to treat my brother who was bedridden after a polio attack.

He did cure him fully, in about two months, during which time he would pay weekly visits to my village.

As a young boy, I was asked to inform people who droped in to consult that Doctor NOT to tell him their diease, but to offer their hands for him to read their pulse and diagnose!

That Doctor believed that it was the prerogative of the Doctor to diagnose an illness. If the patient told of his/her problem, he took it as an insult to his capability to diagnose diseases by reading their pulse!

Amazed at his skill in diagnosing, we kids asked that Doctor, "Grandpa, how do you know their disease, without their telling you?"

He would say, "Their pulse speaks to me! And, if you came with me, I can teach you that languge of the pulse in five years!" We didn't learn!

I thought that science is dead and gone with that doctor, until I met Dr.Mani in Trivandrum on the 2nd of Jan, 2011...

Here is still one doctor, from the Ayurvedic Traditions, who goes strictly by his reading of pulse!

Nothing else matters to him.

A truly Indian Doctor we still have. It's for modern science to discover and learn his abilities to diagnose!

Dr.Mani Keeps Alive the Oldest of Indian Medical Traditions:

Modern Doctors and Patitents depend on gadgets to diagnose their health problems. But, Dr.Mani does not use any. 

He reads your pulse, and prescribes massage which is followed by medicines if any, after the course of massage is completed. 

He reads your pulse right at the beginning of treatment, and every morning, before and after the daily massage.

When a patient arrived for his massage, we found doctor chiding him after reading his pulse, "Why did you eat fish last night! I told you not to eat non-veg food at night. Didn't I?"

IF YOU WANTED TO AVAIL HIS SERVICE 

Obviosly, you can't ask him over the phone if he can heal you. He would just ask you to come down for a check up - of your pulse, of course!

HOW WE GOT TO KNOW HIM  

A young man Mr.Vincent was about to be operated on his neck and thigh by Allopathic Doctors. They wanted to mend three discs inhis neck with bone extracted from his thigh.

Just a few days before the operation, Vincent gave Dr.Mani a chance to treat him. Now he is not having any pain, doing his routine work, driving car or even a scooter.

Mr.Vincent being my relative, recommended the Doctor to my brother, who flew from Switzerland to get treated for his ailing hip that the Allopathic Doctors want to be replaced.

AN APPEAL 

I request all those who got treated and cured by Dr.Mani to mail me their medical records as proofs of cure.

For instance, if you had a diagnostic record of an illness from the Allopathic tools, and you got healed by Dr.Mani, you may repeat the same Allopathic diagnostic tests to asses the effectivness of the cure.

A comparision of both the records can help awaken scientists to take the traditional diagnosis and treatment more seriously, and to study and preserve them.

I do believe Dr.Mani may be able to patent his diagnostic methods, and put his skills to use by patients all over the world through computer aided diagnostic tools that learn from him to imitate his skills perfectly.
